At the same time, professionals bear responsibility: young people should feel safe, boundaries must be respected and risks identified early.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\ud83c\udfaf Project goal<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">The project had a clear goal:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Develop a practical safety framework for international youth work.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">This focused on important questions:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>How do we create safe spaces for young people?<\/li>\n<li>How do professionals handle boundary violations or conflicts?<\/li>\n<li>Which rules and agreements help with international encounters?<\/li>\n<li>How can prevention, awareness and operational security be strengthened?<\/li>\n<li>What do professionals, volunteers and organisations need for better safeguarding in international projects?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">Collaborating with partners from Gothenburg has opened up new perspectives and shown how a Youth Protection Concept are shaped in different countries.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\ud83e\udd1d What made the project special?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">The project thrived on shared learning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">Experts from Cologne and Gothenburg shared experiences, discussed practical examples and jointly developed solutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">These included:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Professional exchanges and international meetings<\/li>\n<li>Discussions on protection and responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Exchange of practical experience<\/li>\n<li>joint development of standards<\/li>\n<li>Work on concrete recommendations for action<\/li>\n<li>Reflection on diversity, power dynamics and boundaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">It was particularly important that the safety plan should be <strong>practical, easy to understand and immediately applicable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element\" class=\"translation-block\">A Youth Protection Concept helps to:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>empowerment of young people<\/li>\n<li>identifying risks early<\/li>\n<li>to encourage respectful encounters<\/li>\n<li>Supporting professionals in difficult situations<\/li>\n<li>to establish clear rules and responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\" class=\"translation-block\">This is how safe spaces are created where learning, encounters and international experiences become possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-image-element\"
