International Youth Work Cologne

Learning together across borders

International Youth Work brings together young people aged 13 to 30 from different countries. They meet, learn from one another, and discover new perspectives. They experience a sense of community, exchange ideas, and build lasting connections across borders.

In Cologne, many organisations, associations, and youth work professionals are actively involved in International Youth Work. Together, they create opportunities that foster international exchange and encourage young people's participation.

What makes International Youth Work possible

International Youth Work opens the door to new experiences. It gives young people the opportunity to travel, discover other cultures, and engage with issues that matter to them.

It's about much more than getting to know other countries. International experiences also help develop valuable personal skills. Young people build self-confidence, take on responsibility, and learn how to engage with different perspectives.

Youth work professionals develop new ideas, exchange experiences, and collaborate on projects with partners from other countries.
