๐ Youth exchanges with Erasmus+
๐ค Experiencing Europe together
Youth exchanges bring ๐งโ๐คโ๐ง young people from different countries together.
They get to know one another, share their experiences and spend time together. In doing so, they discover ๐new perspectives, discuss important issues and enjoy a sense of community.
โ What are youth exchanges?
At a youth exchange, ๐ฅ groups of young people from different countries come together.
Together, they work on topics that interest them. At the same time, they get to know ๐ new people, cultures and ways of life.
๐ Itโs not about school or lessons. The focus is on ๐ค learning together, ๐ฌ sharing ideas and ๐จ getting involved.
๐ Youth exchanges can take place, for example, in ๐ฉ๐ช Germany or in another country.
๐ฅ Who are youth exchanges for?
Youth exchanges are aimed at ๐ง young people aged between 13 and 30.
๐ซ Youth groups, clubs, youth centres, schools and organisations that work with young people are welcome to take part.
โญItโs important to note that young people play an active role in shaping the event. They contribute ๐ก their own ideas and have a say in deciding which topics are important.

๐ฏ What topics are possible?
Youth encounters can have many different themes.
For example:
๐ฑ Climate and sustainability
๐ณ๏ธ Democracy and human rights
๐ Diversity and living together
๐จ Art, Music and Culture
โฝ Sport and health
๐ป digital media
๐ช๐บ Future, Career and Europe

Young people:
๐ learn about other cultures

โจ Many young people are discovering for the first time just how diverse ๐ช๐บ Europe is โ and how much unites people.
โ Why are youth encounters important?
๐ International exchanges foster understanding and cohesion.
They help to ๐ซ break down prejudices and see differences as ๐ a strength.

Accessibility, inclusion and diversity play an important role.
